(Senior Researcher)

Dra. Carmen Sánchez Ávila obtained her PhD in Mathematics at Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) in 1993. She is currently Full Professor at the Applied Mathematics Department in UPM. Furthermore, Dra. Sánchez Ávila is the Director of GB2S (University Group of Biometrics, Biosignals and Security). Her works in Biometrics, Cryptography, Pattern Recognition and Signal and Image Processing started back in 1990. Along these years she has been author of a great amount of research publications and has taken part and coordinated in numerous projects and contracts with enterprises.



(PostDoc Researcher)

Gonzalo Bailador del Pozo obtained his PhD in Computer Science in 2011, by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid(UPM), being currently PostDoc Researcher at CeDInt. He is an expert in pattern recognition methods and Soft Computing techniques. He has been a visiting researcher in ETH University and European Centre of Soft Computing. His research lines cover topics related to movement analysis, biometrics and mobile applications.




Belén Ríos Sánchez obtained her M.Sc degree in Computer Science in 2010 by Technical University of Madrid in 2010 and the M.Sc. degree in Signals, Systems and RadioCommunications from Technical University of Madrid in 2011 with a Master Thesis titled "Face tracking of multiple users oriented to control virtual reality applications". She is currently a PhD student of the Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications programme at CeDInt.




MS in Telecommunication Engineering, graduated in July 2015. Specialized in signal processing, optimization and machine learning. Currently focused on research lines for activity detection, stress and EEG signals.




Miguel Viana Matesanz obtained his B.Sc degree in Telecommunications by Technical University of Madrid in 2015, majoring in Bioengineering with his M.Sc Thesis titled "Segmentation algortithms design and implementation for laparoscopic ultrasounds images of the pancreas". His recent work focuses around Iris biometrics and Aliveness detection for biometric tampering prevention.
